Ben Robison for Stanford Medicine

Portraits for Tracie White’s story about the role of art in medicine.

“Ben Robison, a medical student and professional violinist, is collaborating with a painter-physician on a website and tour that enables health care workers to make and interact with art.”

A Little Big Bang

The first time I heard the Kronos Quartet was on Night Music hosted by David Sanborn(so long ago, yes). A little big bang chain reaction went off in my head. These days I can proudly call them a client. I shot interviews and b-roll for this Kickstarter video. Some of the stills are mine as well. Greg Miller did sound. Check it out!

No Age at The Thing Quarterly

Los Angeles punk duo, No Age, took over The Thing Quarterly’s office one weekend in April. They played their latest record, An Object, live to a packed house. The show was recorded to 4 track tape. The next day 300 cassettes of that recording were made and boxed up for sale.

A Drum Kit And A 7-String Guitar

Scott Amendola and Charlie Hunter have a music making relationship going on 20 years. Here is a press kit video for their latest record is called Pucker. All shot and edited by me.

I found that I really love doing this work. If I had discovered this long ago I would probably be a film editor now.

Hard Work and Laughter

More video work has been coming my way and I love it. Martha and Monica, a cello/piano duo hired me to do a trailer about them and the two new works they commissioned from Omid Zoufonoun and Matt Ingalls.

They will premiere Omid Zoufonoun’s Sonata for Cello and Piano on Sunday, September 30, 2012,
5 pm at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Recital Hall.

Then, on March 24, 2013 at 4pm they premiere Matt Ingalls’ New Work for Cello and Piano at Old First Concerts in San Francisco.
